Meet Coach Rob Rubuliak

This is Rob’s 17th year with the volleyball club. Rob is an NCCP-certified Advanced Development coach (Level 2). He was a founder of both the St. Albert Volleyball Association (now SAS) and the NOOKS. He has coached at junior high and high school, most recently for the last four years at St. Albert Catholic High School (SACHS). In 2023 he coached the senior girls who finished with a 10-0 season in Metro Edmonton and an ASAA 3A provincials birth where they finished 5th. He was the ASAA Metro-Edmonton Division 2 Coach of the Year for the 2023 school season and is currently coaching the SACHS junior team in 2024. In club he has coached at every age level from U13-U18 and has run camps and clinics for all ages from Atomic to High Performance. During the 2023-2024 club season, he coached the U18 Green Women’s team with SAS that finished top 10 in Division One.

Rob has been an RCMP member for 23 years and has four daughters who all currently play or coach volleyball. He grew up in Vancouver and then around the Toronto-area before attending the UofA. His coaching philosophy is to coach confidence in athletes. Every athlete should realize their potential with knowledgeable, supportive and positive coaching that encourages them to compete at their highest level, develop lifelong friendships, and create cherished experiences.
