Meet Coach Matt Law

Matt Law has been involved with Volleyball for 33 years. Starting as player in Junior high school as an outside hitter, High school as a middle, and 20+ years playing in multiple adult recreation leagues as setter.  He is a level 3 Regional referee with Volleyball Canada going into his 13th year and has been actively coaching for the last 7 years with club volleyball, 4 years with High School, and Camps.  In his 7 seasons of coaching, he has been  involved with the U13-U17 age groups. Junior varsity at high school and is currently the senior coach at Fort Saskatchewan High School.

Matt is a NCCP certified development coach, a train advanced development coach awaiting evaluation. And is taking training to progress to a performance coach.  He has a strong technical understanding of the execution of skills, focuses on creating a positive training and competing mindset.  Matt is continuing  to learn the game of volleyball as rules, tactics and skill continue to change and evolve.  He has attended Volleyball Nations League international coaching symposium, as well as local coaching symposiums.  His goal is to help athlete learn and love the game of volleyball.  He firmly believes that all you learn in volleyball will help you succeed at all things in life.
